The Customs House design for print
Published: July 2014
Introduction
The Customs House in South Shields is one of the North East’s premier centres for arts and entertainment. They approached creative design agency Urban River to produce the design for print on a wide range of supporting materials for their productions.
Brief
The Customs House needed a reliable creative agency to develop the design for print on all of their marketing material for up-coming shows and events delivered at both their main location in South Shields and throughout the region. The marketing materials required ranged from flyers and banners for individual shows to quarterly events guides.
Solution
As a starting point, Urban River designed the 36 page events guide, which featured all of the forth coming shows and events. Each show featured within the guide was individually designed with some requiring brandings. Urban River also produced a large amount of bespoke illustration work, which expanded into advertising material such as banners and flyers.
Impact
A vast range of varied design work provided each show and event with it’s own individual style aimed at specific target audiences. These ranged from cartoon illustrations for an under 7’s pantomime to line drawings for more serious historical publications.
The design for print deliverables have become widely recognised and consequently the Customs House events are well supported.
Urban River also deliver high quality bespoke websites and strong brand identities.
