Fashion firm’s Italian job joy
The writing is on the wall for business success after a South Tyneside company clinched an arty contract.
Against strong competition, Urban River Creative, based at Burrow Street, South Shields, won the order to design the branding for a range of Italian-designed home decorations.
Faced with the task of transforming a traditional product into a fresh and contemporary one, the borough firm used all its expertise to create the Studio Seriano brand.
Urban River's creative team came up with high-quality prints and contemporary textured wallpaper, appealing to young and fashion-conscious homeowners.
The borough firm worked with its client Belgravia Decor to establish a brand exuding history, creativity and cutting-edge technology.
Chris Broadhead, head of design at Urban River, said: "As a locally-based agency striving to work with an increasingly widespread client base, we were delighted to secure the Belgravia contract.
"In direct competition with other high-end wallpaper manufacturers and the celebrities they often use to endorse or design their wallpapers, we had to work hard to set Belgravia apart."
Belgravia enlisted Urban River to create a product to appeal to hip homeowners, based on the design expertise of Seriano, and the brand was launched in recent weeks.
Anthony Horne, managing director of Belgravia Decor, said: "Urban River Creative's work on the Seriano project has been outstanding.
"We needed a creative agency that would be able to move along with Belgravia and the brand as it grows.
"The brand the Urban River team has created exudes all of the qualities we had hoped for and fits in with our brief for a strong, professional, contemporary image."
