Wall to Wall
North East based creative agency Urban River recently secured a prestigious contract to design the branding for a range of Italian-designed home decorations. When faced with a brief to turn a traditionally steadfast and old-fashioned product into a fresh, contemporary and appealing offering, the local team used all of its branding know-how to create the Studio Seriano brand.
Tasked with the challenge of making high-quality statement prints and contemporary textured wallpaper appealing to a young and trendy set of homeowners, the team at North East based branding and design agency Urban River worked with its client Belgravia Décor to establish a brand that exuded history, authenticity and a touch of cutting-edge technology.
Belgravia enlisted the help of Urban River to create a brand that would appeal to a fashion-conscious, designer-savvy market of younger and more adventurous homeowners. The resulting brand, centred on the expertise of the designers at Seriano, was launched to a UK market during October.
"As a locally-based agency striving to work with an increasingly widespread client base, we were delighted to secure the Belgravia contract," explained Chris Broadhead, head of design at Urban River. "In direct competition with other high-end wallpaper manufacturers and the celebrities they often use to endorse or design their wallpapers, we had to work hard to set Belgravia apart - to create an air of Italian style mixed with history."
"Urban River Creative's work on the Seriano project has been outstanding," commented Anthony Horne, managing director of Belgravia Décor. "We needed a creative agency that would be responsive to crucial timing issues within the fashion industry and that would be able to move along with Belgravia and the brand as it grows.
"The brand that the Urban River team has created exudes all of the qualities we had hoped for and fits in with our brief for a strong, professional, contemporary and fashion-conscious image in a very traditional decoration area."
