St Wilfrid’s R.C College
St. Wilfrid’s Roman Catholic College believe that all pupils can be successful in their school work and life at college. Rated outstanding by Ofsted, St. Wilfrid’s is one of the most respected educational establishments in the North East.
St. Wilfrid’s R.C College required marketing materials and two new websites. The two websites consisted of one for the College themselves and one for the teaching school alliance in which St. Wilfrid’s is a leading partner. The teaching school alliance is a partnership of college’s and schools that work together to develop a strong learning culture and share best practice. The teaching school alliance needed a new modern brand. The College required a fresh look whilst retaining the original historic badge and values. With over 16 years of gaining an in depth knowledge of the education sector, Web design Newcastle, Urban River were appointed to create all of the deliverables for St. Wilfrid’s.
With a secondary school and a sixth form, St. Wilfrid’s website could have easily been a confusing one for anyone to use. However, we created St. Wilfrid’s website to attend to both groups effectively, with clear headers and navigation points, and plenty of white space and bold text, ensuring your eye leads to where you need to go. We also created an option for both staff or pupils to login to the website. This provides both user groups with even more information based on who they are through effective web design. Throughout the website we ensured the vision and aims of the College were clearly displayed.
The website is fully ofsted compliant and allows ease of use for the user groups. Dedicated staff at the college can update the content on the website through the intuitive content management system. This means that making changes to important information on the website can be done quickly and efficiently. Marketing materials were created in parallel to the website ensuring consistency throughout all deliverables.
Imagery of the pupils at the college was important to feature on the site. Therefore we included a mixture of bespoke photographs and key messages throughout the site to reflect St. Wilfrid’s vision. With a well structured navigation and a clear look and feel, we created a modern online and offline presence for the college.
Teaching School Alliance
With such strong vision and values, the teaching school alliance needed a new brand and website which would showcase their innovation in the education sector. The site also needed to display their level of expertise. We created a modern brand and refined siteflow with key messaging throughout the website to reflect the brands aims.
