South Shields Pantomime is in marketing Wonderland

This year’s pantomime at the Customs House in South Shields is sure to draw the crowds, thanks to the help of a local Newcastle marketing agency.

Urban River, a full service web and marketing agency based on King Street, South Shields were approached by The Customs House to provide marketing and promotional materials for the venues Christmas pantomime for the second year running. Customs House Marketing Manager, Deniece Wanley, said “It’s important for us to work with local companies and we are delighted to be working with Urban River on this year’s show. After fantastically promoting Little Red Riding Hood last year, it was an easy decision for us to engage with the Urban River team again”.

Billed as ‘the little panto, with the big heart’, this year’s production of Alice in Wonderland has been met with some fantastic reviews. “2016 is a big year for the Customs House” said Deniece. “We’ve got some brilliant shows coming to South Shields next year and getting the message out that people don’t have to leave South Tyneside to see fantastic entertainment is key to that”.

From designing external banners, bus liners and the ‘What’s On?’ guide, Urban River have managed all aspects of the print campaign for Alice in Wonderland. “We’re proud to do business in South Tyneside”, said Carl Buckley, MD of Urban River. “We’ve worked with The Customs House for many years now and thoroughly look forward to helping them make 2016 their best year ever”.
