New Year’s Resolutions for your website
Published: December 2016
2017 is almost upon us, and we are all looking towards the New Year and a fresh start. You will probably be giving your home a spring clean – why not your website too? Here are a few tips to get you started.
Work on your SEO strategy
It’s important to be high up on the search rankings – you know that and so do we. We know you’ve been meaning to do something about it, but have just never got round to it. Well the new year should give you that extra push to start working on your SEO strategy and making sure you’re spotted on Google. If you don’t know where to start, we can help.
If you aren’t using Google Analytics, how do you know how much traffic is coming into your website? Your bounce rate? Your most visited pages? You don’t, and it’s important to website designers and owners to know where your customers are and what they are looking at. Set up Google Analytics, and make sure you check it regularly too!
Have another go at that blog
You started writing your blog when you first set up your website – you were brimming with ideas and you couldn’t wait to get started. But now it’s hard to find the time to write anything, and all your ideas have dried up. Sit down and spend time thinking about the kind of things you’d like to share with your audience and what they’d like to read about. Don’t try and do too much; if you can only find time to write one blog post a month, then don’t try to push yourself to one a week. Keep it easy and make it enjoyable!
