The Dog’s blog

So you may or may not be aware that we have a mascot. Yes, Urban River the design agency in Newcastle has a mascot! Why is that? You could be forgiven for thinking mascots are something you would associate with American football teams, a big bright creature of sorts goofing around between the blonde cheerleaders in the half time shows. But the facts are this – a mascot is defined as a term for any person, animal, or object thought to bring luck and we think our furry friend has brought us big dog bowlfuls of luck.
Our furry friend is Urban Rover and a lovable member of the Urban River team. His honourable morals – along with our own – stand for integrity and dedication (although he can be quite protective over his dog biscuits). So if we’ve got a cute dog for a mascot that means we are a dog friendly business right? Sure does! From major companies like Google and Amazon to small start up businesses, more and more of our four-legged friends are turning up for work. Dogs in the workplace have been reported to boost morale, increase productivity, and foster a greater sense of camaraderie among co-workers! That’s gotta be a good thing!
Whatever your opinion (and everyone is entitled to one) on our canine companions, one thing you can’t deny is their devoted loyalty, which is why our doggy mascot is so fitting with our business. As we believe in creating long-lasting customer relationships with you, making your experience the best it can be so you will come back time and time again. If you’re on Facebook check him out here – we are sure he’ll keep you amused.
