The Northern Society of Chartered Accountants (NorSCA) represents ICAEW members working in business and the finance profession across the North East of England, Teesside, Northern Yorkshire and Cumbria.
NorSCA approached Newcastle web design agency Urban River to create a suite of logos for their three sectors and a fully responsive website. Both the logo suite and website needed to embody the professionalism of the industry NorSCA work in.
We initially set out to develop a suite of logos for NorSCA, Northern Chartered Accountant Students’ Society (NCASS) and the North East Young Chartered Accountants’ Group (NEYCAG) taking into account existing ICAEW guidlines and colours and developed a range of alternatives to be used across a variety of materials both on and off-line. A set of extensive guidleines followed to support the development of internal communciations.
The website was created as a single portal for all three sections of the society each whith its own needs and requirements, NorSCA, NCASS and NEYCAG, but allowing for clear separation to enable members from each section, to identify content and events specific for them. To achieve this we utilised WordPress Multisite which gave us the flexibility needed to allow the content for each section to be managed from their own CMS.
The website also acts as an information hub allowing members to search and book professional courses, access relevant content & information and professionally network all at the click of a button.
Key features of the website include:
- Multisite content management from one CMS panel
- Advertisement panels for promotional material
- Document management with user privilege control
- Advanced event listing and search functionality
